his is from this month's issue (april), and its the 10 Year Anniversary of Argentine Rolling Stone, so they recapped the past ten years and had a feature on the best albums of each year, and I.T.I. was down for 2001 (obviously).
Albert Hammond Jr.
Title: Title Unannounced
Release date: Second trimester of 2008
While The Strokes continue on their prolonged leave, Albert Hammond Jr. decided to use his free time to release a second solo album. “I wanted to show a different side of myself,” says Hammond. On Yours To Keep’s follow up, he reunited with his band – Matt Romano on drums, Marc Eskenazi on second guitar, Josh Lattanzii on bass, and producer Gus Oberg in New York’s Electric Lady Studios. One of Hammond’s objectives was to make “shorter and harder” melodies. “When we began I was shaking of fear, but its amazing how your people give you the freedom to go to new places,” he says. |
